Trip to Idaho

Hi everyone, Richie and Erin here. We first just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this blog so far. Grandma absolutely loves it and gets just tickled every time there is a new post for her to read. I also need to give a big THANK YOU and acknowledgement to Holly for all her help with putting this blog together. She spent a lot of time making it look good and getting it up and running, so Thank You Holly!!

Well Richie and I spent the last week up in Idaho for the Hall Family Reunion and we had a great time. We got to go out on the Snake River in Burley one day and had a great time. Richie tried water skiing for the first time and popped right up like a pro. Then he decided that was too easy so he wanted to try it on just one ski, and of course popped right up again. I swear he is good at anything he tries, it's not fair. But I love it. Then we went out on a different boat with Kyle's old mission companion and had a blast. We got thrown around on a tube and then we all tried wake surfing.

And here we are getting tossed off! It was so much fun, but Cheryl was ready to be done, so she got off after that one.

Then it was just Kyle, Richie and I and we got a run for our money trying to stay on

And here we all are wake surfing...

Then we headed up to Sun Valley for a few days. One day we decided to head up to Mt. Baldy and mountain bike down. It was an 11 mile ride and took us about 3.5 hours. It was quite the adventure. It was pretty rough steep in some spots and we had to dodge a few trees. We all took a few spills and got some good battle wounds, but it was totally worth it.

Here's our family at the top of the mountain before we took off on our ride. Mom, Dad and the gimp Brian took the chairlift back down. Brian was the only one upset about that.

And here's the bikers decked out in our gear. (Our cousin Chris, Erin, Richie, Cheryl, Kyle and our cousin Eric). We all had to wear the big helmets with the face mask part, and they gave us each our own backpacks with extra tires and tools.

We had a great time with the Hall family. Now we are on our way back and stopped in to visit with Grandma Lauritzen for a bit. She is doing great and is loving all the visitors. Richie and I fly back to NY tonight for a reunion with his family all next week. We can't complain about life right now. It's been great to spend time with family having a great time.
